NimbleGen Expression Arrays
The NimbleGen platform is an ultra high density, easily customizable microarray.
- The high probe density means that each targeted transcript is represented by multiple unique probes - increasing specificity and resistance to array defects
- Arrays are also offered in a smaller multiplex format - increasing throughput and decreasing price, while not sacrificing coverage
- The unique manufacturing process used by NimbleGen allows rapid creation of new array designs. All catalog arrays are designed using the most recent publicly available genome
- Catalog arrays exist for most common model organisms, as well as hundreds of prokaryotes
- If an array is not available that suits your needs, a custom array can be ordered

NimbleGen Data
Because there are several unique probes per gene, the normalizations that have been developed for the Affymetrix arrays can also be applied to NimbleGen data. In addition to the image data (in TIFF format) and the raw signal values, the FGSR will RMA-normalize the arrays and provide expression values for each gene.
